JASNA-SW booth at the LA Times Festival of Books, April 21-22, 2012.
Over 1000 people visited our booth this year.
JASNA Southwest's booth at the LA Times Festival of Books was a great hit! We had even more visitors, distributed even more JASNA-SW information, and sold even more books from Vroman's than we did last year. Some memorable people we met included a real-life Mr. Wickham (who says he always has to assure women that he's NOTHING like his namesake), a cartoonist who handed us some doodled bouquets, and two charming roller-derby chicks who invited us to come in costume to their next match. Truly, love of Jane is universal!
Nancy Gallagher took the lead in designing and setting up the booth. Here she herself becomes part of the decor!

We sold over 200 Jane Austen-related books from Vroman's Bookstore. Our own Diana Birchall, Syrie James, and Laurie Viera Rigler all signed books for booth visitors.
